Umbilical Hernia Repair Technique

Umbilical Hernia
Last week I found a big hard lump on Lottas stomach. It was that dreaded hernia that had returned. As this was bigger than ever seen before, and so hard, I decided to take her to the vet immediately. X-rays only showed fat, luckily but I felt uneasy, and we decided to get rid of the hernia once and for all.
So yesterday Lotta had the surgery, and all went fine. This pic is just a few hours after bringing her home again. She shows no illness and is as happy and care free as ever. Except when I tried a plastic funnel. I thought the dog would die, honestly :D Poor thing. We are now using a strap-on protective cloth over the stomach which works great, and Lotta does not even notice the thing. We are on leash for another 9 days...

First swimming trip
Edwin and I went swimming for the first time last week, he was a little unsure at first but then he realised that it was just like having a huge big bath and enjoyed it.
We went with Chloe and her mummy, Trina, who took this photo which is why Chloe's looking at the camera. Edwin was looking at me.
Chloe was born 10 days later than Edwin but was full term. It's really interesting to see the difference in their development. Chloe can sit up unaided whereas Edwin can't yet. His head control is getting much better but he still 'forgets' about it a lot and it wobbles about a lot! Chloe has also discovered her feet while Edwin seems pretty disinterested in his hands.
Weight wise, as you can see, Edwin has the edge!
